We Need to Revolutionize Education!
Mass education was a revolutionary idea in the 18th and 19th century. It was developed in order to meet the needs of the industrialized economy. If you look at it – it is an industrialized process. In fact, according to Sir Ken Robinson, education was and still is a very linear process. You start young, go to college and you leave with a good salary and a permanent job.
This old model has broken down. A degree can no longer guarantee a salary and a permanent job.
We need to try new things in order to educate for the future – to foster innovation and creativity in the minds of our young children.
